New: Credit Packs and Upgraded Voices

It's 2026. The SaaSpocalypse is fully upon us. And I get it. We all have way too many subscriptions.

So I'm doing something about it with my own product, PodRead. You can now buy a credit pack for $4.99. Five episodes, no subscription, pay as you go. PodRead lets you turn any article into a podcast episode. New episodes show up automatically in a personal feed so you can listen in your favorite podcast app.

We've also upgraded the text-to-speech technology for all paying customers. The new voices have better intonation, more realism, and more emotional resonance. I've been using them for a few weeks and I think you will really enjoy them.

These improved voice models cost us more to run, but we're not raising prices. We'd rather invest in making this the best product we can for people who learn by listening.

Subscriptions remain available and are the best option for users who create more than five episodes per month. The old voices remain available too, so you're always in control of how your episodes sound.
