New: Use PodRead from Claude and ChatGPT

You can now create podcast episodes from inside your AI conversations. Whether you're using Claude, ChatGPT, or Claude Code, you can turn any chat into a podcast episode and listen to it later.

Here's the use case that got me building this: you are having a brainstorming conversation with Claude, or the agent has created a lengthy research brief, or you are deep in your own personal AI psychosis. You've been going back and forth for an hour, exploring a topic, refining your understanding. Now you have this rich conversation full of insights, but you're done sitting at your computer. You want to absorb it while going for a run or doing dishes.

So you say: "Summarize this conversation as a narrative optimized for audio, then turn it into a podcast episode."

Claude writes the summary, sends it to PodRead, and a few minutes later it's in your podcast feed. You close the laptop and hit play.

Use PodRead with AI

PodRead now works everywhere you chat with AI:

Claude on claude.ai Add PodRead as a connector in Settings, then Connectors. Works on web and mobile.

Claude Desktop Same connector, same setup. Add https://podread.app/mcp as a custom connector.

Claude Code PodRead has a Claude Code plugin. Run /podread from any conversation.

ChatGPT Find PodRead in the GPT Store or search for "PodRead" at chatgpt.com/gpts. Works with Plus, Team, and Enterprise plans.

What you can say

Once connected, the AI can:

  • Create episodes from URLs, text, or conversation summaries
  • Check episode processing status
  • List your recent episodes
  • Get your podcast feed URL

Episodes show up in your personal RSS feed. Listen in Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, or whatever you use.

Under the hood

Claude connects via MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard for connecting AI to external tools. ChatGPT connects via a custom GPT Action with OpenAPI. Both authenticate with OAuth so your data stays yours. Disconnect anytime from PodRead Settings.

PodRead is free to try. Two episodes per month, no credit card required.
