Choose your voice

Very Normal TTS is a text-to-speech app I've been building. Give it a URL or upload a file, and it converts the text to audio and drops it into your own personal podcast feed—ready to listen in whatever app you already use. Today's update: you can now choose the voice that reads your content.

To access this feature, log in to Very Normal TTS and click settings in the menu bar.

Press the play button under each voice to listen to a preview. It can be hard to decide if you want your Patrick McKenzie (patio11) in our British female voice, Wren, or the more straightforward American male, Archer.

Go with your gut.

Next, select one of the four available voices and click "Save Changes." Your next episode submission will be read in whichever voice you select. Fear not, this is not a trapdoor decision. If you are sick of Felix's haughtiness, try the motherly Sloane for your next episode.
